FAQ

WHAT DOES GET THE PANCAKE MEAN?

You’re not the first to wonder this… and I’m sure you won’t be the last! When I first started sharing coaching advice online in 2011, I wanted a fun name for my blog that really epitomized going all out.

In my mind, the pancake (diving for a ball and sticking your flat hand underneath it just enough to pop it up for a teammate) was the ultimate show of effort for a volleyball player. Shortly after, I settled on “Get The Pancake” and started typing away on the computer, sharing tips and tricks as I learned them myself!

As the blog grew, first into a website and then into a business (the bank asked me if I was opening a bakery), I considered changing the name. I mean… let’s be honest. If you started a business called something like “Get The Waffle” or “Get The Flapjacks” would you feel confident telling people about it? haha.

Flash forward to today and it doesn’t phase me. In fact, I LOVE that my business is called “Get The Pancake.” What a fun conversation starter, right?

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS?

With love :)

And research!

I started coaching in the fall of 2008, and since then I’ve worked with players of all ages, running everything from one-on-one private lessons to a huge youth organization with about 300 teams in one season. I’ve seen a lot, coached a lot, and have struggled a lot. But that’s great news for you!

Each worksheet, book, activity, and form is a result of me thinking at one point, “man, it would be nice if I knew how to do this ahead of time!”

Fortunately, I’m also friends with quite a few coaches, too. So when they’ve got something I know would help other coaches, I make sure to get my hands on it and offer it here for the world to benefit from!

HOW DO I ORDER COACHING TOOLS FROM THE WEBSITE?

Once you’ve found the tools that will help your team, just add them to your cart. Once you’ve finished looking around, click the shopping cart to review your products one final time.

Happy with your items? Good! Time to proceed to checkout.

Once in checkout, you’ll be asked for an email address and payment method.

All you need to do to receive your digital download is enter your email address during checkout (spelled correctly helps) and you’ll receive an email shortly with links to your products!

MY PRODUCT LINKS STOPPED WORKING. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DOWNLOADS?

Once a purchased product link has been clicked, you’ll need to download your item and save it to your computer within 24 hours.

Did you forget to save your item? Not a problem! Just email whitney@getthepancake.com and I’ll resend your digital goodies!

CAN A SHARE MY DOWNLOADS?

The short answer?

No.

The only way I can continue to create new tools and continue sharing free drills and tips is through the sale of my products. Sending a friend your copy of the goal setting worksheets, team bonding activity, etc. may be well intentioned, but it is taking away from Get The Pancake and our ability to provide future value to coaches just like you.

If you love our products, please recommend them to other coaches. That way you’re sharing helpful resources with a friend, plus supporting a small business!

The only exception here is that coaches or directors who choose to purchase our items with the intention of using them with their program are allowed to make several copies for the teams they oversee, but not share the files themselves.

Again, please consider sharing a link to www.getthepancake.com with a friend to support what we’re trying to do here… which is to help coaches love their job!

WHAT IF I DON’T USE MY PRODUCT OR IT’S NOT WHAT I EXPECT?

Absolutely no worries. Just email whitney@getthepancake.com within 30 days of purchase, and you get a full refund!

Look, things happen.

Maybe you wanted to coach, but then something happened and you weren’t able to anymore.

Or maybe you didn’t read the product description (whoops!) and thought you were getting a drill book, but instead a planner shows up.

Just let me know via email. It’s really that easy…

But PS: I am pretty positive you’ll love anything you order and will be happy you got it! Think of the refund policy as a nice “just in case.”
