I am a helper. That is what drew me into coaching, and is what continues to motivate me to help new coaches like you!
My first season was.... interesting. I knew what needed to be done on the court, but OFF the court was a whole 'nother story! I started writing articles online about a few drills I found helpful and about the type of defense I was running, and then... I forgot about them. I went to college, continued coaching off and on, and randomly checked back on my blog a few years later.
I WAS SHOCKED!
The number of visitors I had to the LITERALLY THREE ARTICLES I wrote was INCREDIBLE.
I finished my schooling with a Master's in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Sport Management. (Shout-out to my MAC schools, Northern Illinois University (Masters) and Bowling Green State University (Bachelors). Then I entered the working world as a Volleyball Director for a HUGE youth sports organization.
But this got too far away from what I loved. Coaching young athletes, and helping fellow coaches.
In May of 2018 I left that job to focus solely on two things: 1) Coaching with more purpose and intent than ever before, and 2) Get The Pancake.
Yes, what started as a random hobby of writing articles online (I was a weird 19-year-old haha) is now a business that I am actively growing through creating coaching techniques and sharing best practices in the sport I love.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING, IT MEANS A LOT TO ME!
In addition to creating and sharing my own content, I am seeking opportunities to partner with brands who have products which would benefit my audience of new coaches. If you think you might be the right fit, please email me directly at email@example.com.
